Alexis is a playwright, film & TV writer from Los Angeles. Her plays have had readings, been developed or produced in California, Illinois, Oregon, New York, Texas, Ohio and Wyoming. Plays include: Monte, Tennessee (Dixon Place & Exquisite Corpse Company) Wanda, Daisy & the Great Rapture (Exquisite Corpse Company, Available Light Theatre, The Landing Theatre Company, Relative Theatrics), Transplant (Available Light Theatre, UO Pocket Playhouse), Blessing in the Sky (Foundry Theatre Chicago), Astral (UO Pocket Playhouse, Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival), and Lightning Bugs (Foundry Theatre Chicago). She grew up in Nashville and Los Angeles, earned a BA in Theatre from the University of Oregon where she studied playwriting with Jennifer Schlueter ( for/word company) and subsequently with Academy Award nominated writer José Rivera (Noor Theatre, Torn/Page, NYC). She was the winner of the University of Oregon’s 2011 New Voices Competition, The Landing Theatre Company’s 2017 New American Voices Reading Series, received an Honorable Mention for the 2016 ATHE Jane Chambers Award, and was a finalist for the KCACTF National Playwriting Award, Relative Theatrics 2017 Playwrights Voiced Reading Series, Project Y Playwrights Group, and the 2018 Jeffrey Award. In television, Alexis co-wrote Seasons 1 and 2 of the comedy series, “FAIRWOOD” which premiered on Crackle TV, and has a third season currently in development. She's an alumni of The Pool writing group at the Brick Theatre in Brooklyn and Exquisite Corpse Company ’s Playwriting Labs. She is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America and the Writer’s Guild of America.
